The Dios walnut snare features mids and lows that are well-pronounced. Though this gorgeous wood is dense and heavy, it resonates with thunderous enormity in the lower register, and seems to almost expand with every stroke. However, its hardwood characteristics allow for brightness in the voicing that is not attainable with standard maple or birch, making it the perfect drum for recording.
