The specially selected, kiln dried, environmentally friendly Siam Oak construction adds to the drum's overall warm tone, while the unique shell contour brings out the drum's mid and high sound ranges. Topped with hand picked natural rawhide heads, these 30 tall congas feature Comfort Curve II Rims, 5/16 diameter tuning lugs and reinforced LP Heart Side Plates, each secured with a backing plate. A layer of fiberglass is added to the inside upper portion of the shell, near the side plates, to provide additional strength.
